CONTRADICTIONS BETWEEN THE HADITHS AND THE QURAN

We shall study in this chapter the contradictions between the Quran, the basic and unique source of Islam, and the fabricated hadiths. When we observe the fatal consequences of the adoption of the hadiths as a source of religion, we shall see better the importance of going back to the Quran. We have quoted here the hadiths from the most famous book on hadiths to illustrate those that are openly in contradiction with the Quran; you can imagine the hadiths contained in the lesser known compilations.

Human being was created from earthly materials and water according to a divinely guided evolution

1. “Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood,” (96:2).

2. “We created man from sounding clay, from mud molded into shape, (15:26).

3. “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be”. And he was,” (3:59).

4. “But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?” (19:67, Yusuf Ali). Also, 52:35).

5. “He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! (16:4).

The criticism presented above is a classic example of EITHER-OR fallacy, or the product of a frozen mind that does not consider or perceive time and evolution as reality. If he uses the same standard, the critic of these verses will find contradiction in almost every book. If he looks into biology books, he will similarly get confused. In one page he will learn that he is made of atoms, in other made of cells, of DNA, sperm, egg, embryo, earthly materials, etc. He would express his disbelief and confusion with a similar question. A careful and educated reading of the Quran will reveal the following facts about creation:

Ma Malakat Aymanukum

The Quran had come as a light and beacon for mankind, to ‘regulate’ social relations and to giude the believeing men & women with the following verses:

“Tell the believing men that they shall subdue their eyes, and to maintain their chastity. This is purer for them….” (24:30)

“And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary….” (24:31)

Halal & Haram

How many times have you heard this phrase:

“This is Haram, That is Halal”!

If you are a Muslim, then you probably hear these words repeated around you every day. You will hear them in school, you will hear them on TV, you will hear your parents say them, you will hear scholars and Imams say them, and, you will find tons of books written on the subject.

Similarities between the Bible and the Qur’an

perform salat (so-called prayer) in a certain way, Actually
