Prophet Muhammad (a.s.) in the Quran pt.3

Say: “I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner. [18:110]

Say: “If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) -either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces! [19:75]

Say: “Each one (of us) is waiting: wait ye, therefore, and soon shall ye know who it is that is on the straight and even way, and who it is that has received Guidance.” [20:135]

Or have they taken for worship (other) gods besides him? Say, “Bring your convincing proof: this is the Message of those with me and the Message of those before me.” But most of them know not the Truth, and so turn away. [21:24] Continue reading ‘Prophet Muhammad (a.s.) in the Quran pt.3’

Men are Maintainers and Supporters of Women

In 4:34 [Alrrijalu qawwamoona AAala alnnisai], the word “qawwamoona” has been translated by some as “those who are in charge or in control” or as “those who rule” and so the “Alrrijalu qawwamoona AAala alnnisai” is translated by some as “Men are in charge of women”.

The key word here is “qawwamoona”, which has the root Q-W-M.

According to Arabic language

QIWAAMun
= Subsistence
= Means of support
= Means of surviving
= Livelihood
= The food that is a means of support

QAAMA BIL YATEEM
= He maintained or supported the orphan

QAAMA alMARaTa
= He undertook the maintenance or support of the woman

QAAMA ALAIHA
= He maintained or supported her
= He tended, or took care of her, or looked after her

QAAMA BIHI
= He or it was supported, or sustained, or subsisted by it

Therefore,

Alrrijalu qawwamoona AAala alnnisai
= Men are maintainers and supporters [i.e. who provide means of surviving, look after, and take care] of women

Purpose of SALAAT

1. Allah’s Zikr

…Establish SALAAT for my ZIKR… [20:14]

O You who believe! When the call is made for the SALAAT on the Day of the Congregation, hasten to the ZIKR of Allah and leave your commerce…[62:9]

1.1 Purpose of Allah’s Zikr

The purpose of Allah’s ZIKR is as follows:

i. To feel a fear in the heart (for the consequences of violating the commands of Allah); (and as a result)

ii. To make the heart humble and submissive to the commands of Allah; and

iii. To get the faith strengthened

See the following verses:

The true believers are those who feel a fear in their hearts (of the consequences of violating the commands of Allah) when Allah is mentioned. And when His Revelations are recited to them, they find their faith strengthened. They do their best and then put their trust in their Lord.[8:2]

Whose hearts are filled with fear (of the consequences of violating the commands of Allah) when Allah is mentioned…[22:35]

Is it not time for the believers that their hearts feel humble at the remembrance of Allah and the Truth which has been revealed?… [57:16]

…Verily, with the remembrance of Allah hearts become tranquil (, lowly and submissive). [13:28] Continue reading ‘Purpose of SALAAT’

The Word ‘Islam’ in the Quran

The word ‘Islam’ appears in the Quran in 8 places

Word form ‘Al-Islam’

3:19 Indeed Ad-Deen (i.e the System of Life) approved by Allah is Al-Islam (Submission to His Laws and Commands). The people of the Scripture differed for nothing but selfish envy among themselves, after the Knowledge has come to them. One who rejects Allah’s Revelations will find that His Law of Requital is swift in reckoning.

3:85 Whoever seeks as Deen (i.e. a System of Life) (anything) other than Al-Islam, it will not be taken from him with approbation, and he will be a loser (in the long run in this world as well as) in the Hereafter.

5:3 Forbidden for you (for dietary consumption) are:
– Any Animal that dies of itself.
– Blood.
– The flesh of swine.
– And anything (not just meat) that has been dedicated to any other than Allah (such as an idol, grave or saint).
– Any Animal that has been strangled to death; Beaten to death; – Dies by falling from height; Gored to death by horns.
– Animal eaten by a wild animal unless you are able to slaughter it while it is still alive.
-That which is sacrificed on altars (devotional stones or blocks in shrines considered sacred).

Also forbidden is dividing the meat through raffling and games of chance. This Day, the rejecting opponents have given up the hope of eradicating your DEEN, System of Life. Clear distinction in matters of the Lawful and the Unlawful draws a tangible line between their ways and your way. Fear them not but fear Me. This Day, I have perfected your Law /DEEN for you, completed My favor upon you, and chosen for you Al-Islam as the System of Life. Continue reading ‘The Word ‘Islam’ in the Quran’

This is a new kind of war, How we can win it?

As we face our terrorist Wahabi enemy in this post-Cold War era, it becomes clear that we are now fighting World War IV. This new war, without a doubt, is a new kind of war. We can summarize its new aspects with one concrete example: the suicide bomber. He is eager to blow himself up in order to kill as many innocent people as possible from among Christians, Jews and, yes, other Muslims. Young men are usually inspired by their dreams of the future and of enjoying their lives, but the suicide bomber is motivated only by the thought of being a martyr and he is convinced that virgins are waiting for him in paradise to reward him for blowing himself up amongst “infidels”. Al Hajj : How Muslims distorted Al Hajj (The Pilgrimage)

To know the wide gap between Islam and Muslims of today, read this article about Al Hajj. It has been published in Cairo, and the writer was insulted because of it.

The Salafi Hajj
Salafi Muslims across their long history have changed the real Islamic Hajj to be in this way that expresses their own Hajj, not the real Islamic Hajj as stated in Quran and applied by the prophet Mohammed during his life time. Let’s explain this:-
Al Hajj is religious duty on every human being, not only Muslims.
Al Hajj is a religious duty that has to be performed by any peaceful human being who is capable of performing it. It is not restricted to Muslims only but includes all peaceful human beings, especially the people of the scripture; the Jews and the Christians. Al Hajj is the most famous aspect of Abraham’s religion or according to the Quranic terminology [Millat Ebraheem] for all the mankind, the Jews and the Christians in particular. This is very obvious when we read these Quranic verses: [2: 125] [3: 93 to 97] [22: 25 to 29].
However, the mighty tribe of Quraysh used to del with Al Hajj according to their tribal policy and interests. They prevented Muslims and the prophet Mohammed from performing Al Hajj, [5: 2] [48:25] [8:34-36] [22: 25]. After the time of prophet Mohammed, the same tribe used the name of Islam to establish the great Arab Muslim Empire. In this Empire, the religious rules were decreed to prevent the non Muslims from Al Hajj, ignoring that the term (Muslim) in the Quranic terminology- when dealing with people- means any peaceful person regardless of his/her faith or affinity, and [Al Moshrik] or the idol worshipper- when dealing with people- is the one who transgresses the boundary and attacks the peaceful people in aggressive and/or unjustly manner. Please read this meaning in these Quranic verses [9: 1 to 14-28]
Muslims have violated this generality and definition of Al Hajj
It is prohibited- in Muslim tradition- for any Christian or Jews to perform Al Hajj if they so wish. More over, they claim in their false Hadiths that the prophet Mohammed ordered to clear the Arab Peninsula from all Christians and Jews. This is a false allegation because the Arab Christian and Jewish tribes used to live in their Arab land during the Omayad dynasty, before this Hadith has been fabricated and which was attributed to the prophet Mohammed two centuries after the Prophet’s death; i.e. at the time of the Omayad state.

Ka’bah As A Place Of Worship

M S M Saifullah

Assalamu-alaikum wa rahamatullahi wa barakatuhu:I was prompted to write something on this issue when
someone argued me about the historicity of Ka’bah and Makkah. This led me to get
back on my favourite past-time of browsing through the references. One of the brothers
in Cambridge, UK, supplied me with some of the information on this issue and I worked
on them.

The Ten Wise Jews: The Source Of The Qur’an

1. Introduction

It has been claimed by the Christian missionaries that there are several accounts originating from Jewish and Christians sources which claim that Muhammad(P) was instructed by Jewish scholars.

In a predictable, heedless fashion, the Christian missionaries have attempted to discredit the religion of Islam by alleging that the Prophet Muhammad(P) was actually aided by Jewish scholars in the composition of the Holy Qur’an. To support such a claim, they point to accounts by Jewish and Christian sources. The missionaries write:

The Christian account comes from Theophanes who died around AD 818. This text pre-dates Ibn Hisham’s biography of Muhammad (AD 834) as well as the Traditions which date between 2 and 3 centuries after the death of Muhammad.

This claim, along with the rest of the anti-Islamic theories in the missionary treasure chest, should be brought under the light of objective analysis. In this paper, we intend to examine this claim. We will also address the question of the Jewish source of this story and a related one about the “mysterious letters” in the Qur’an, which were alleged to have been inserted by Jewish scholars.
